Founding member Ellen Zampino will demonstrate how to split a honey bee colony using hives at the BYBA bee yard.  There will be discussion about why and when to make a split, whether for swarm control, for increase, or for over-wintering.  The workshop will run from 10am to noon at the bee yard on Freeborn Road in Easton.  Bring your questions and a veil and learn about this valuable and versatile process.
