Build a Hive Workshop

As a new beekeeper the first thing you might want to learn is how to build your first beehive. Rick Glover, past President of the Backyard Beekeepers Association, will hold a session on Saturday March 19^th at 11AM at Lachat Town Farm in Weston on 106 Godfrey Rd West, Weston, CT showing you the simple steps to building a complete hive setup to hold your first colony of honey bees.

We are inviting in some members of the Lachat Town Farm.  We are excited that they are joining us, as their participation in this workshop includes a new membership to BYBA! 

In this hands-on workshop, we will see the equipment needed, and how it all comes together. An explanation will also take place discussing the different parts of the hive and their place in the colony.
